Trails And Parks For Endless Explorations
There are numerous bike trails including the start of the “North East Rail trail”. “Parkview Motor Inn” offers free bike hire and a *shuttle service (*subject to availability) to nearby towns so you can explore our region in a different way. There are several walking/riding tracks around and through our great town. The “Ovens River” and “King River” meet in the center of Wangaratta and offer you some safe and fun swimming places. Maybe you might like to play 18 holes at our two golf courses “Wangaratta Golf Club” and “Jubilee Golf Club”.
You can’t go past “Warby-Ovens National Park”. This diverse park offers visitors the chance to enjoy spectacular views, a stroll along various walking tracks, or even try some mountain bike riding on the various levels of tracks. The views from “Ryans” lookout and “kwat Kwat” lookout are spectacular any time of the year, you can even see the snow-capped mountains in winter. There are also numerous waterfalls in the park to explore and enjoy. Take a picnic lunch and watch the kangaroos hop by.
